Marketing Plan Uncovers Critical Project To Elevate Sales

The Challenge   Boston-based PDC needed a dedicated strategic and tactical marketing planning effort designed to uncover and solidify competitive market position, elevate its existing brand, and assist the sales cycle.
     
The Solution   By working closely with PDC’s partners to understand the industry landscape, the company’s strengths, market opportunity and business plan S&S was able to develop a comprehensive marketing plan including key messages and positioning statements, as well as zero in on the vital few marketing tactics that would achieve the biggest bang for the buck. The marketing plan pointed PDC to revamp its web site and repackage the company’s core intellectual property offerings.
     
The Results  

Within the first six months of site’s début, PDC reported bookings of over $150,000 from two companies whose introduction to the company emanated solely from the website.

S&S rebuilt the “home grown” web site starting with a new architecture that mapped to true business offerings, and ending with a comprehensive web site designed to enhance their position as thought leaders. The new site replaced the need for printed collateral, shortened the sales cycle and provided a reenergized visual identity.

     

We also make extensive use of the website in the sales cycle which has significantly reduced our costs and need to describe who we are and the full range of products we offer. In addition to proven business results, the site has given us instant credibility as a well-established, successful consulting firm and improved the likelihood of further business.
