| The Challenge |
|
Microsoft and Corporate Software (now Software Spectrum)
needed assistance to develop a solutions oriented direct mail program
– one element of an integrated sales program designed to generate
leads in a specific industry. Timing of the direct mail distribution
had to be coordinated with the release of a new partner program
from Microsoft and inside sales efforts from both companies. The
results of this first-ever solution program would secure future
co-op funding for programs between Microsoft and Corporate Software.

| The Solution |
|
After identifying the appropriate application partner to round
out a full solution, the Microsoft, Corporate Software and Smith
& Suita team developed the theme of “Find a New Way
to Work”- a clever tie in to promote real-time secure access
to information via a mobile device. The printed piece included
a strong high-energy visual demonstrating today’s mobile
workforce and was supported with an audio key chain with a pre-recorded
15-second message.

| The Results |
|
To ensure future co-op funding, the strategy for the direct marketing
program and execution of the direct mail piece was completed in
less than four weeks despite the complications of coordinating with
three companies to develop key messages and secure approvals. The
program also paved the way for sales activity in a new vertical
for Corporate Software and upgrades to Microsoft’s new channel
program. |
